Creation Museum

We stopped at the Creation Museum on our way home from our Workcamp. I personally enjoyed the planetarium program a lot. To think that we are such a small speck in the universe is mind boggling to me. Then, to think about how big the God who created it has to be is unfathomable! I just hope our kids were encouraged and strengthened in their faith.

Lydia Strawser Tuesday Workcamp

I hope you can hear Lydia. We recorded this right before the evening session. Thanks for your prayers. We continue to work hard, but today is a half day. We are going to a concert provided by the sponsors here at the camp and then to a "Hog Roast" for supper this evening.

Tonight after devotions we decided to go to "Staggs Dairy Treats" for some ice cream. We had heard good things about Staggs and we weren't disappointed! We had great service and good ice cream.

Tomorrow is a half day and the sponsors are providing a hog roast and a concert by "Samestate".

We got to the school and got settled in. At the evening program we met our other crew members and found out what we will doing. After a good nights sleep and a morning program, we headed out to meet our residents and began our work.

"I've never . . . "

I love taking kids on trips for a lot of reasons. One of those reasons happened twice already on our trip. The "I've never . . . " statements are fun to hear. Yesterday one of the kids said they had never been to Ohio. That isn't suprising, but it is fun to experience it with them. Then, this morning we were ordering breakfast at McDonld's and someone said, "I have never ordered off the breakfast menu here." Well, I just thought it was interesting. Hopefully, you will too. We re only about an hour from Rushville and are hoping to find the school and then eat lunch before checking in. I will try to post a few pics later today.

Saturday Night Devotions

We made it to our motel, a Motel 6 in Dayton Ohio, by 9:10 PM. After checking in and getting to our rooms, we spent some time studying together. I snapped a picture as we began our prayer time.

It Begins!

We, CRUX Student Ministries, began our journey to Rushville, IN to participate in the Group Workcamp there. There will be 17 people participating from our group. I will be blogging about our trip so come back often to follow us along the way.
