Inflation? What inflation?

Here is an update on inflation in the US. If you just look at the prices of "old school" Christmas lights, (I refer you to an earlier post) THERE IS NO inflation. Last week I went to Lowe's to see if I could find some red and white lights. I was successful. The best part is that the price 20 years ago is MORE than the cost today. My mom paid $1.17 for four red lights years ago. I paid $.73 for four read lights last week! More than likely, these cheaper bulbs won't last as long?
