Not too long ago I posted a "Noon Nonsense" about a guy who would take care of your pet after the "Rapture". Today's post is about pets as well. I am always amazed at how much money people will spend of their animals. I have heard stories about people who would feed their cats before themselves if they didn't have the money to buy food. Well check this out. The picture to the right says it all! I hope President Obama reads this. He will be campaining about health insurance for every pet soon!!!

Things I Didn't Know Before We Conceived! The Cat LItter Edition
We found out some really exciting news last week! Jana is Expecting! The big day will be sometime in December, we think! I am really pleased and I know Jana is excited as well. This will be a whole new adventure for me. That sounds so clicheish, but I am sure it will be a different experience for me over the next nine months and way beyond. However . . . I am finding out some things that I never thought about BEFORE we talked about conceiving. I hope to blog about some of these things over the next year or so.
Now I hate (well, not hate, but I really don't like) cats. One of the things we talked about before we got married was that SHE would take take of feeding, cleaning up after, etc. the cat. And, up until this week, she has done just that. BUT, now it is MY responsibility! Yuck! Not being a cat lover in the first place, this has got to be the absolute worst job in the house! I don't like to clean anyway, but, I can't stand the smell of cat, period, let alone the cat . . . poopie. Her (Our???) cat is 15 years old. She has been having kind of a hard time hitting the litter box. And that is an understatement. She seems to think the entire basement is part of the litter box! Needless to say, I am not amused. So, if you are a guy and don't like cats and you have a cat . . . think about me before you consider saying yes to a child.
Before you get mad at me, I want you to know that I would do anything for my pregnant wife. I love her and that is part of loving her. So, I am not complaining about this as much as I am letting everyone else know a few things that I did NOT know.
Noon Nonsense: Marriage Records
Having being married for just 15 1/2 months, some of these marriage statistics were interesting. Some other stats were a bit disheartening. A couple were downright upsetting. Check it out here.

"Madi" Places First at the State Gymnastic Championship
A while back I posted about our church secretary being so talkative about her granddaughter doing so well in a gymnastics event in Colorado. You can read that post by clicking here.
Well, our secretary is at it again! This time she is squawking about their 7 year old granddaughter, Madison "Madi" McDonald. Madi, as she likes to be called, competes the "Level 4" of the USAG and recently won 5 medals at the state Championship! Her most notable medal was for the "All Around" where she placed FIRST (see picture below)
Just like her sister, Madi comes to the office occasionally and brightens our day. All of us are proud to know her and wish her luck in the future!

I want to give a "shout out" to Dave Jones and Jana Snyder who produce a weekly radio show on WGRC in Lewisburg, PA Sunday nights from 8 - 8:30 PM called "Get Real with Dave & Jana". They talk about youth and issues teens deal with on a regular basis. Each year they sponsor a talent contest for kids ages 11 to 19. The preliminary rounds are April 8 and the top three from each age group will be invited into the WGRC studios to record a show where the audience will be voting for their favorite. The winners receive a t-shirt, gift certificates, a cd and get to perform at Knoebles during WGRC Day. If you would like more information about the contest, go to www.wgrc.com or click here. Fearing retaliation, this guy tried to break into jail! Do we treat prisoners too good? I don't think they should suffer too badly, but if you try to get into jail . . . I don't know? I guess it depends on the situation, and I don't know the whole story. You can read the story here.

Happy Birthday Justin Fogle
Tonight we had a party for Justin Fogle, one of the volunteer leaders at CRUX. It was his birthday. Justin was in the youth group 16 years ago and more. He has been committed to the youth for a long time and I thank him for his ministry to the kids. I quickly put a few pictures into the animoto.com movie maker and came up with this:
